Role Overview
Sommelier Responsibilities:
- Curate and manage the wine list in collaboration with the restaurant team
- Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance guest experiences
- Train and guide staff on wine knowledge and service standards
- Oversee wine storage, inventory, and ordering
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
Junior Sommelier Responsibilities:
- Support daily wine service operations
- Assist guests with wine selections and pairings
- Maintain stock levels and proper storage
- Develop wine knowledge through training and hands-on experience
- Deliver attentive and professional guest service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a sommelier or junior sommelier role (or strong FOH experience with wine focus)
- Solid knowledge of wine service and pairings (WSET or similar certification is an advantage)
- Passion for wine and commitment to professional growth
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Professional presentation and attention to detail
- Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset)
