Role Overview
- Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality and consistency standards
- Manage stock control, ordering, and cost efficiency within the kitchen
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal updates
- Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume or fine-dining environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
- Good understanding of food cost control and stock management
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Passion for quality, creativity, and continuous improvement
