Role Overview

  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations 
  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service 
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality and consistency standards 
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and cost efficiency within the kitchen 
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness 
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs 
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal updates 
  • Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume or fine-dining environment 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills 
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations 
  • Good understanding of food cost control and stock management 
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure 
  • Strong organisational and communication skills 
  • Passion for quality, creativity, and continuous improvement
