Junior Sous Chef – Malta

Net Salary: € 1,922.47

Role Overview

  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations

  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen sections during service

  • Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to high quality and consistency standards

  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste

  • Monitor hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety compliance

  • Train and guide Commis and Demi Chefs

  • Contribute to menu development and operational improvements

  • Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs when required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior CDP in a high-volume or fine-dining environment

  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques

  • Leadership potential with good team management skills

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Good organisational and communication skills

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
